Welcome to the Fort Larned Unified School District. We are a community of learners dedicated to the creation of an environment where children can be successful. Thanks to the efforts of our talented and dedicated employees, a strong and supportive Board of Education, involved and committed parents and a community that values what our school district has to offer, our children have the opportunity to take advantage of a rich and diverse PK-12 educational experience.
Our goal is to provide an environment where all children can learn to the best of their abilities. We are committed to building and sustaining positive learning experiences where all students develop essential skills necessary to positively contribute to our ever-changing world. We promote the use of technology in the classroom and support our teachers in their efforts to integrate technology with in classroom learning opportunities.
This year our district, along with many others in the State, will be facing unprecedented financial challenges. Throughout these battles we will continue to address major learning strategies that provide enhanced learning opportunities for our children and lead to the continuous improvement of our district. However, our budgets will never be able to keep pace with the dreams we have for our children. Therefore we must face difficult choices and challenges with unwavering courage and commitment. Our district will make difficult data driven decisions necessary to efficiently enhance and strengthen our ability to serve children and their families. Our efforts will lead to a preferred future for our children, our families and our community.
Sincerely,
Jon H. Flint
Superintendent of Schools
