April 2006
USD 495 School Board voted to incorporate the Ft. Larned Foundation for Education.
June 2006
First meeting held.
August 2006
Articles and bylaws reviewed by 7 board members.
October 2006
Foundation bylaws were signed.
January 2007
IRS non-profit status attained.
April 2007
Chamber of Commerce Coffee Hour to begin awareness campaign of the Foundation was held.
May 2007
Golf Tournament Fundraiser
Fall 2007
Grant proposals submitted to various organizations
February 2008
Foundation meeting held to plan spring 08 Golf Tournament
April 2008
Donation given to Foundation to benefit Westside School
June 2008

Ft. Larned Foundation for Education Baird Family Scholarship awarded to Jacob Finger - $500.00 award
Endowment created through Golden Belt Community Foundation in Great Bend - Matching grant monies available through Dec. 2008 and possibly through June 2009 June 2010!! donations - $.50 for every $1.00
October 2008
Established Robert "Bobby" Foster Scholarship Endowment Fund
Moved the Doyle Foster Scholarhsip to the Endowment Fund
October 23 - Coffee Hour to kick off endowment "Challenge" held at Chamber
